About L. Yeldell-Sylvers

​Lalita Yeldell-Sylvers is the Author and Publisher of Circumcision of A Wounded Heart: An Unjust Journey Due to Systemic Racism, Classism, & Oppression. Lalita has a Master's Degree in Social Work.  She has worked with multiple populations, including adults and children with mental illness and disabilities. In addition, she has worked with the homeless population and other groups that are socially marginalized. Lalita’s future goals include starting a non-profit organization.  Her objective is to use her knowledge, background and skills to Advocate and Problem-Solve to create sustainable futures for at risk youth and offenders who have been incarcerated, focusing on mental illness and self-sufficiency.
